Midwest Snocross Series Sets Record Entries at Opener - Ironwood, MI

Midwest Snocross Series Season Opener an Immediate Hit

The 2023/2024 is well underway as the series opened their 3rd season this past weekend at the Mt. Zion Ski Hill in Ironwood, Michigan, for Round 1. With riders from all around and nonstop racing, the event marked yet another success despite mother nature throwing everything she had at us. Thank you to everyone who understood the amount thrown at us last minute. 

Over 238 entries and 118 riders representing 6 U.S. states and 2 Canadian Provinces. Riders from Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Alabama, Illinois, and Iowa represented the
United States, while riders from Ontario and Quebec represented Canada. 

4 manufacturers were present, with riders on Polaris Snowmobiles, Arctic Cat - Snowmobiles, Yamaha Snowmobiles, and Ski-Doo.

The heat races and LCQ's paved the way for the all 24 races. 

Race 1 - Transition 11-13 saw a podium of Dominic Munford, Memphis Beson, and Logan Bruch.

Race 2 - MLK Carpentry/Design LLC 200 Stock 6-12 finished with a podium of Connor Muir, Lincoln Skar, and Eli Pallin. 

Race 3 - Professional Plating Inc. Novice had a podium of Brodie Lund, Evan Schwier, and Landon Giese.

Race 4 - Pro 206 6-12 saw Harrison Skar, Connor Muir, and Russell Walsh all podium. 

Race 5 - Snow Country Customs llc Junior 10-13 witnessed a podium of Ava Kruschke, Colden Harnois, and Memphis Beson. 

Race 6 - Brown Brothers Racing Pro Am Women’s saw Janiece Brown, Mckaylee Meyerhofer, and Hailey Brown all on the podium.

Race 7 saw 2 classes, with Levi Dahl picking up the win in the 120 Imp Stock 8-12 class, while Lincoln Skar, Caden Johnson, and Deegan Giguere finishing on the podium of the 120 Champ
6-12 class. 

Jordan Wolfe won Race 8 - Pro Lite - with Nathan Mailloux and Cade Fleming rounding out the podium. 

Race 9 went Logan Bruch’s way with Colden Harnois and Ava Kruschke finishing behind in the Junior 10-13 2 class. 

Race 10- Rhinelander Cabins 200 Stock 6-7 was won by Harrison Skar, with Jackson Kafka and Rhett Devault finishing second and third. 

Recreational Motorsports 200 Stock 10-12, Race 11 - had a podium of Lincoln Skar, Abram Newton, and Benny Cook. 

Race 12 - C&A Pro Skis Sport Lite saw Jerrett Junemann, Ryder Harnois, and Matthew Mocadlo all on the podium.

Race 13 was a 2 class race, with Junior Girls 9-13 going to Eleanor Schmidt, with Ava Kruschke and Trinity Olson on the podium, while Hailey Brown picked up the Junior Girls 14-17 class in the same race. 

Race 14 - 40 plus went to Augie Hoffmann while Mike Gagliano and Adam Konz joined him on the podium. 

Tomahawk Sports Center Plus 30 - Race 15 - was won by Chris Kafka, with Adam S. Johnson and Brad Carman second and third respectively. 

Race 16 - Town & Country Lawn Service Transition Combined 8-12 was won by Beckum Pete while Dominic Munford and Noah Gillis followed him onto the podium. 

Race 17 - 120 Imp Stock 6-7 went to Vincenzo Diorio, with Russell Walsh and Rhett Devault on the podium.

Millennium Technologies Sport - Race 18 - went to Jerrett Junemann, with Nick Kurth and Eric Reinemann on the podium as well. 

Race 19 - Goodwin Performance Inc. Transition 8-10 had a podium of Noah Hillis, Axel Kruschke, and Beau Engel. 

Recreational Motorsports 120 Imp 4-12 - Race 20, went to Jakob Blenker, with Vincenzo Diorio and Rhett Devault joining him on the
podium. 

Brodie Lund won Race 21 - SnowStuds Junior 14-17, while Evan Schwier came second and Larsen Brown in third. 

Race 22 - Kafka Granite LLC 200 Stock 8-9, was won by Noah Kuhn with the rest of the podium filled by Connor Muir and Eli Pallin.

Race 23 - Rollin Transport LLC 120 Imp Stock 4-5 saw a podium of Vincenzo Diorio, Jakob Blenker, and Bennett Devault. 

The final race of the day, Race 24 - Pro Am, saw Brian Petersen pick up the win after a battle with Nathan Mailloux, and Jordan Wolfe rounding out the podium in 3rd

Rounds 2 and 3 of the Midwest Snocross Series will take place in Hartford, WI, on January 6th and 7th at the RK Compound with Hartford Snocross Racing Midwest Snocross- Hartford, WI Rounds 2 & 3. That Saturday the 6th, thanks to support from Complete Lawn & Landscape Supply and Pete Transfer LLC/Pete Transport LLC, who will be putting on a $10,000 to win Dominator Race. Come see some of the top Snocross Pros compete on the regional level!
